Do you want to be more intentional about supporting your resilience and the well-being of your family? Have you spent time considering how your work overseas or the work of your partner influences your children or your marriage relationship?
Based on a recent PhD study conducted that explored the experiences of accompanying families in the humanitarian NGO sector, this seminar will share the dominant challenges faced by accompanying families and reported coping strategies used to manage these. We will discuss strategies you can pursue during each of the different stages of transition (i.e. pre-departure, newly arrived, repatriation etc.) to best support your well-being and that of your family. This workshop is suited for both working expatriates and accompanying partners, and for families either with or without children.
